Indications
Azitrocin is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria susceptible to azithromycin. These infections may include those of the upper and lower respiratory tract, such as sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia. It is also used in the treatment of skin and soft tissue infections, as well as sexually transmitted infections such as non-gonococcal urethritis and cervicitis. Azithromycin works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, which results in the death of the bacteria responsible for the infection. It is important to follow the doctor's instructions and complete the treatment to ensure eradication of the infection and prevent bacterial resistance.
Composition
Each Azitrocin tablet contains 500 mg of azithromycin, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.
Contraindications
Azitrocin is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to azithromycin, to any macrolide antibiotic, or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease. Its use in combination with certain medications that may increase toxicity is not recommended.
Precautions
It is important to perform a comprehensive medical evaluation before starting treatment with Azitrocin. Patient conditions, as well as the possibility of drug interactions, should be considered. In patients with a history of cardiac arrhythmias or heart problems, monitoring is recommended during treatment. Likewise, care should be taken in patients with kidney or liver problems.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
