Indications

Atozet is indicated for the treatment of patients with primary hypercholesterolemia (type IIa) or mixed dyslipidemia (type IIb) as an adjunct to diet, when the response to diet and other lifestyle changes is insufficient. Atozet is also indicated to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events, including myocardial infarction and stroke, in patients with established cardiovascular disease or type 2 diabetes mellitus with additional risk factors.

Composition

Each Atozet tablet contains 10 mg of Ezetimibe and 10 mg of Atorvastatin.

Contraindications

Atozet is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the formula. It should not be administered during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It is contraindicated in patients with active liver disease, including persistent elevations of liver transaminases, and in those with active myopathy or a history of rhabdomyolysis.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, alcoholism, and in those receiving other medications that may increase the risk of muscle toxicity. It is advisable to monitor liver transaminases before and during treatment. Likewise, regular evaluation of the patient's lipid profile is suggested.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
