Indications

Atemperator is indicated for the treatment of seizure disorders, including epilepsy and epileptic seizures. Its use extends to the prevention of manic episodes in patients with bipolar disorder. Magnesium Valproate works by stabilizing electrical activity in the brain, helping to reduce the frequency and severity of seizures. This medication may also be used in the treatment of migraines and in some cases of behavioral disorders and attention deficit.

Composition

Each tablet contains 400 mg of Magnesium Valproate, as well as sufficient excipients for the product's formulation.

Contraindications

Atemperator is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Valproate or to any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with severe liver diseases, metabolic urea cycle disorders, or those who are pregnant, unless absolutely necessary and under strict medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, hematological problems, or those taking other medications that may interact with Valproate. Regular monitoring of blood Valproate levels and liver function is essential. Patients should be informed about possible side effects, including drowsiness, dizziness, and mood changes. Concomitant use with medications that may affect blood clotting is not recommended.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
