Indications
Atemperator Lp 200 mg is indicated in the treatment of various convulsive disorders, as well as in the prophylaxis of manic episodes in patients with bipolar disorder. This medication works by stabilizing the electrical activity of the brain and preventing the occurrence of seizures. It is also used in the treatment of migraines and certain associated psychiatric conditions. It is essential that the use of this medication be supervised by a specialist, who will determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment according to the patient's needs.
Composition
Each tablet of Atemperator Lp contains: 200 mg of Magnesium Valproate as the active ingredient and excipients such as lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, and magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, severe liver failure, urea cycle disorders, and acute pancreatitis. Its use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Precautions
Special precautions should be taken in patients with liver diseases, a history of bleeding disorders, or those taking other anticonvulsant medications. Regular monitoring of Valproate levels in the blood is important to avoid toxicity. Patients should be informed about the possibility of side effects, such as drowsiness, dizziness, or mood changes.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
