Indications
Atemperator is indicated in the treatment of bipolar disorders, such as the prevention of manic and depressive episodes. In addition, it is used in the management of seizures in patients with epilepsy. Its mood-stabilizing and anticonvulsant action is due to the modulation of neurotransmitters in the central nervous system. This medication may also be useful in the management of migraines and in the treatment of certain psychiatric illnesses, always under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
Composition
Each Atemperator tablet contains 500 mg of Magnesium Valproate, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
Atemperator is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to valproate or any of the components of the formula. It is also prohibited in individuals with severe liver diseases, genetic urea metabolism disorders, and in patients who are being treated with other antiepileptics that may induce hepatotoxicity. Its use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended, unless strictly necessary and under appropriate medical supervision.
Precautions
It is important to regularly monitor plasma valproate levels, as well as liver and hematological function during treatment. Patients with a history of bleeding disorders or pancreatitis should be closely monitored. It is recommended to inform the doctor about the use of other medications, as they may interact with Atemperator.
