Indications
Atemperator is indicated for the treatment of manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder and for the prevention of epileptic seizures. This medication works by stabilizing the brain's electrical activity, which helps control seizures and moderate mood. It can also be used in the management of other neurological conditions as directed by a treating physician.
Composition
Each Atemperator tablet contains 400 mg of magnesium valproate as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients suitable for product formulation.
Contraindications
Atemperator is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to valproate or any of the components of the formula. Its use is also not recommended in patients with severe liver diseases or urea cycle disorders. Its use during pregnancy and lactation should be carefully evaluated by a physician, as it may have adverse effects on the fetus or infant.
Precautions
Special precautions should be taken when administering Atemperator to people with a history of liver disease, pancreatic disease, or hematological disorders. Regular monitoring of liver function and blood valproate levels during treatment is important. Additionally, alcohol consumption should be avoided, as it can enhance the adverse effects of the medication.
Storage
Store Atemperator at room temperature, in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of the reach of children. Do not use the product after the expiration date indicated on the package.
