Indications

Aspirin Protect 100 mg is indicated for the prevention of cardiovascular events in patients at high risk of myocardial infarction and stroke. Its use is recommended for patients with a history of cardiovascular disease or those who present risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, or hypercholesterolemia. Additionally, it is used to relieve mild to moderate pain, as well as to reduce fever and inflammation. It is suggested to consult your doctor for an accurate diagnosis and treatment. This formulation of acetylsalicylic acid acts by inhibiting platelet aggregation, which helps maintain adequate blood circulation.

Composition

Each tablet contains: 100 mg of acetylsalicylic acid. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Aspirin Protect should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid or other salicylates, as well as in those with active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, bleeding disorders, or severe renal insufficiency. Its use is contraindicated in patients suffering from aspirin-induced asthma.

Precautions

Caution is recommended when administering Aspirin Protect to patients with a history of gastric or duodenal ulcers, asthma, liver or kidney disease. Furthermore, its use should be considered in elderly individuals, as they may be more susceptible to side effects. It is important to avoid concomitant use with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or anticoagulants without proper medical supervision.
