Indications

Aspirin 500 mg is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of fever and mild to moderate pain. It is commonly used for the relief of headaches, muscle aches, and in the treatment of dysmenorrhea. In addition, it can be used as an anti-inflammatory in processes involving inflammation. Acetylsalicylic acid is also prescribed in low doses for the prevention of cardiovascular events, such as heart attacks and strokes in at-risk patients.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Acetylsalicylic Acid 500 mg.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid or other salicylates, as well as in those with a history of active peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, or bleeding disorders. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe renal failure and in children with viral infections due to the risk of Reye's syndrome.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of asthma, liver disease, or renal failure. It is advisable to avoid the use of this medication in combination with anticoagulants, as it may increase the risk of bleeding. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use. In case of adverse reactions, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
