Indications
Aspirin 500 mg is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate pain, such as headaches, toothaches, muscle pain, and menstrual pain. It is also used to reduce fever and treat inflammatory processes. Additionally, acetylsalicylic acid is used as an antiplatelet agent at low doses for the prevention of cardiovascular events, such as myocardial infarction and stroke, in patients at high cardiovascular risk.
Composition
Each tablet contains 500 mg of acetylsalicylic acid as the active ingredient. Excipients: starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid or other salicylates, as well as in those with a history of active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, and in cases of severe renal or hepatic insufficiency. Its use is not recommended in children and adolescents with viral diseases due to the risk of Reye's syndrome.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with asthma, heart disease, hypertension, and those on anticoagulant therapy. It is important to assess the risk of bleeding in patients undergoing surgical procedures. It is recommended to consult a doctor before starting treatment, especially during pregnancy or lactation.
Storage
Store at room temperature, in a dry and cool place, out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
