Indications
Arnaltem Ointment 0.1% is indicated for the treatment of atopic dermatitis in patients who have not responded adequately to conventional treatments. This medication works by modulating the immune response and reducing the inflammation associated with this condition. It is recommended for use on affected skin areas, applying a thin layer to clean, dry skin, usually twice a day. Treatment should be periodically evaluated by a doctor to determine its continuation.
Composition
Each 1 g of ointment contains 1 mg of tacrolimus as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline wax, mineral oil, among others.
Contraindications
Arnaltem Ointment should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to tacrolimus or any of the ointment's excipients. Furthermore, its use is contraindicated in active skin infections, including herpes, chickenpox, and other viral, bacterial, or fungal infections.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of skin cancer and in those receiving immunosuppressive treatment. Use is not recommended on areas of skin with open lesions or irritated skin. It is important to avoid direct sun exposure and the use of UV lamps on treated areas to reduce the risk of phototoxicity. It should not be applied to the face or mucous areas. Keep out of reach of children.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Protect from light and moisture. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
