Indications

Argentafil Spray 1% is indicated for the treatment of second and third-degree burns, as well as skin infections. This medication is effective in the prevention and treatment of infections in wounds, especially those at high risk of contamination. Silver sulfadiazine, its active ingredient, acts as an antibacterial agent that helps prevent bacterial growth in the wound, thereby promoting an environment conducive to healing. It is also used in the management of pressure ulcers and other skin lesions that require special care. It is important to follow medical instructions for proper use and application.

Composition

Each 100 ml of Argentafil Spray contains 1 g of silver sulfadiazine as the active ingredient. Excipients: purified water, glycerin, propylene glycol, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to silver sulfadiazine or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in neonates or pregnant women, unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when using Argentafil in patients with a history of allergic reactions to other sulfonamides. Likewise, it is important to avoid contact of the spray with the eyes and mucous membranes. In case of adverse reactions, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. It is recommended not to apply to extensive wounds or burns over a large body area.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
