Indications
Argentafil 1% Cream is indicated for the treatment of second and third-degree burns, as well as for the prophylaxis and treatment of infections in open wounds. Its action is based on the antibacterial properties of silver sulfadiazine, which acts on a wide range of microorganisms, including gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Its use is recommended in patients with skin lesions at risk of infection, as well as in the management of pressure ulcers and surgical wounds, contributing to healing and preventing infectious complications.
Composition
Each 100 g of Argentafil Cream contains: 1 g of silver sulfadiazine, excipients q.s.p. 100 g.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to silver sulfadiazine or any of the components of the formula. It should not be applied to patients with extensive burns or in areas where the skin is compromised by conditions such as dermatitis or eczema.
Precautions
It should be used with caution in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency, as well as in those with a history of hematological disease. Renal function monitoring is recommended during prolonged treatment. It should not be applied to areas of skin with signs of active infection without proper prior diagnosis and treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
