Indications
Arbistin Syrup is indicated for the treatment of respiratory diseases characterized by excessive mucus production, such as chronic bronchitis and other pulmonary conditions. Its mucolytic action helps reduce mucus viscosity, facilitating its expulsion and improving respiratory function. It is useful in cases of acute and chronic respiratory infections, as well as in patients with conditions requiring adequate airway clearance. This medication can be used in pediatric patients, following the indications and recommended doses from their doctor.
Composition
Each 5 ml of Arbistin Syrup contains: Carbocysteine 375 mg. Excipients: purified water, potassium sorbate, flavorings, and other excipients.
Contraindications
Arbistin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to carbocysteine or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with active gastric or duodenal ulcers due to its possible irritating effect. Caution should be exercised in patients with severe kidney or liver diseases.
Precautions
It should be used with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases and in those undergoing treatment with anticoagulants. It is important to follow medical instructions and not exceed the recommended dose. In case of adverse reactions, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
Storage
Store at room temperature, in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
