Indications
Algitrin is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and for fever reduction. It is used in conditions such as headache, muscle pain, dental pain, and general discomfort associated with viral infections, as well as in the management of fever in various pathologies. The combination of paracetamol and ibuprofen offers a synergistic effect in reducing pain and fever, providing more effective relief compared to the use of a single agent. It is recommended to follow the dosages and administration guidelines indicated by a healthcare professional.
Composition
Each Algitrin tablet contains 325 mg of paracetamol and 200 mg of ibuprofen as active ingredients. Additionally, it contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and stability of the product.
Contraindications
Algitrin is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, in those with active peptic ulcer or inflammatory bowel disease, as well as in patients with severe renal insufficiency. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe liver disease and in women in the third trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Algitrin in patients with a history of kidney, liver, or gastrointestinal disease. Concomitant use of other medications containing paracetamol or ibuprofen should be avoided to prevent overdose. Medical follow-up is essential in elderly patients or those taking other medications that may interact with the components of Algitrin.
Storage
Store Algitrin at room temperature, in a dry and cool place. Keep the product out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
