Indications

Aldara is indicated for the treatment of external genital warts (condyloma acuminata) in adults. It is also used in the treatment of certain types of non-melanoma skin cancer, such as superficial basal cell carcinoma. This medication works by stimulating the patient's immune system to fight abnormal cells in the skin. Aldara should be applied to the affected skin according to the treating physician's instructions.

Composition

Each sachet of Aldara contains 250 mg of imiquimod, as well as excipients that facilitate the cream's formulation. The exact composition of excipients may vary; consult the leaflet for specific details.

Contraindications

Aldara is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to imiquimod or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended on broken skin or active infections, nor in patients with a history of severe reactions to topical medications.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when using Aldara in patients with autoimmune diseases or those receiving immunosuppressive treatment. It is important to avoid sun exposure in treated areas, and it is advised not to apply the cream to unaffected skin areas. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women unless directed by a physician.

Store Aldara in a cool, dry place, away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use the product after the expiration date indicated on the package.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
