Indications

Albothyl Solution is indicated for the treatment of mucosal lesions, including ulcers, burns, and other lesions affecting the integrity of the mucous membranes. Its action is based on policresulen's property to form a film that protects the affected area and facilitates healing. It is used in conditions such as stomatitis, gingivitis, and other oral inflammations. Additionally, it can be used in the management of irritation lesions and other inflammatory processes in the oral cavity and other mucous membranes.

Composition

Each 12 ml of Albothyl Solution contains 407.5 mg of policresulen as the active ingredient. Excipients: purified water, acetic acid, among others.

Contraindications

Albothyl Solution is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to policresulen or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in the presence of uncontrolled bacterial, viral, or fungal infections in the area to be treated.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when using Albothyl in patients with a history of allergic reactions. A medical evaluation is recommended before use in extensive areas or in patients with pre-existing medical conditions. During treatment, contact with eyes and untreated mucous membranes should be avoided.
