Indications

Fluzactal Quadrivalent Influenza is indicated for active immunization of individuals 6 months of age and older to prevent disease caused by influenza A and B viruses. This vaccine is especially recommended for at-risk populations, such as the elderly, individuals with chronic diseases, and healthcare workers. Annual administration is suggested, as the vaccine's composition is updated to include the most relevant circulating strains of each season. Vaccination not only protects the vaccinated individual but also contributes to community protection by reducing virus transmission.

Composition

Each dose of Fluzactal Quadrivalent Influenza contains inactivated antigens from influenza A and B virus strains selected for the influenza season, as well as excipients necessary to ensure the vaccine's stability and efficacy.

Contraindications

Vaccination with Fluzactal Quadrivalent Influenza is contraindicated in individuals who have experienced severe allergic reactions to any component of the vaccine, including those who have had an anaphylactic reaction following a previous dose of influenza vaccines. Its use is not recommended in individuals with acute febrile illness or during an episode of severe illness.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering to individuals with a history of anaphylaxis to other injectable products. Additionally, the patient's health status should be assessed before vaccination, especially in those with autoimmune diseases or who are receiving immunosuppressive treatments.

Storage

Fluzactal Quadrivalent Influenza should be stored refrigerated at temperatures between 2°C and 8°C. Freezing should be avoided. The vaccine must be protected from light and should not be used after the expiration date indicated on the package.
