Indications

Zyxem solution is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic diseases, such as seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, as well as chronic idiopathic urticaria. Levocetirizine, its active ingredient, acts as a selective H1 histamine receptor antagonist, which helps reduce symptoms such as sneezing, nasal itching, rhinorrhea, and itchy eyes. This medication can also be used for the treatment of allergic reactions to medications or foods, as well as in the management of symptoms of skin allergies.

Composition

Each ml of Zyxem solution contains: 0.5 mg of levocetirizine. Excipients: purified water, hydrochloric acid, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to levocetirizine, to other antihistamines with a similar structure, or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in people with severe renal insufficiency or in patients requiring hemodialysis.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of epilepsy or seizures, as well as in those with moderate renal insufficiency. Alcohol consumption should be avoided, as it may potentiate the sedative effects of levocetirizine. This medication may cause drowsiness, so care should be taken when driving or performing activities that require a high level of concentration.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
