Indications
Zyxem is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, rhinorrhea (runny nose), nasal and ocular itching, as well as for the treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria. Its antihistamine action manifests by blocking histamine H1 receptors, providing an effective and rapid anti-allergic effect.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Levocetirizine dihydrochloride 5 mg.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to levocetirizine, any component of the formula, or cetirizine. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal impairment (CrCl < 10 ml/min).
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Zyxem to patients with a history of seizures, as well as those with moderate renal impairment. Alcohol should not be consumed during treatment with levocetirizine, as it may increase the risk of adverse effects. In case of drowsiness, driving or performing activities requiring mental alertness should be avoided.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
