Indications
Zyprexa Zydis is indicated for the treatment of psychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia and manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder. This medication acts on certain neurotransmitters in the brain, contributing to mood stabilization and the reduction of psychotic symptoms. Olanzapine can be beneficial in the long-term treatment of these disorders, helping to prevent relapses and improve the quality of life of patients.
Composition
Each Zyprexa Zydis tablet contains 10 mg of olanzapine as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients such as mannitol, aspartame, and others that facilitate its formulation and administration.
Contraindications
Zyprexa Zydis is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to olanzapine or to any of the excipients in the formula. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease or who are being treated with other medications that may cause sedation.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizures, severe liver or kidney disease. In addition, regular monitoring of patients is recommended to assess the occurrence of adverse effects, especially at the beginning of treatment. Alcohol consumption is not recommended during treatment, as it may enhance the sedative effects of the medication.
Storage
Store Zyprexa Zydis at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep in its original packaging and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
