Indications

Zurimacin is indicated for the treatment of patients with advanced-stage breast cancer, especially in postmenopausal women. It is used as endocrine therapy in patients who have progressed on previous hormonal therapy, and can be administered as a single treatment or in combination with other therapeutic agents. Exemestane acts by inhibiting aromatase, thereby reducing estrogen levels, which is crucial in certain types of hormone-dependent breast cancer.

Composition

Each Zurimacin tablet contains 25 mg of exemestane as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients such as lactose, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, and magnesium stearate.

Contraindications

Should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to exemestane or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is contraindicated in women of childbearing potential and during pregnancy, as well as in patients with severe liver diseases.

Precautions

Regular monitoring is recommended for patients receiving Zurimacin treatment, especially those with a history of cardiovascular diseases or liver disorders. It is important to assess liver function before initiating treatment. Additionally, caution is advised in patients with a history of venous thromboembolism.

Storage

Zurimacin should be stored at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep in a dry place and protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
