Indications
Zostavax is indicated for the prevention of chickenpox in people who are susceptible to varicella-zoster virus infection. This vaccine is especially recommended for adults over 50 years of age and for those who have a higher risk of developing severe complications associated with chickenpox. The administration of Zostavax can help reduce the incidence of the disease and its severity if it occurs. It is important that patients receive the vaccine within the context of an appropriate immunization program and under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
Composition
Each Zostavax syringe contains one dose of chickenpox vaccine, which includes attenuated varicella-zoster virus. Excipients and other components of the formulation are specific to the manufacturing process and are detailed in the product leaflet.
Contraindications
Zostavax should not be administered to people with known hypersensitivity to any of the vaccine components. It is also contraindicated in immunocompromised individuals, those who have received immunosuppressive treatment, as well as in pregnant or breastfeeding women without appropriate medical evaluation.
Precautions
It is important to assess the patient's general health status before administering the vaccine. Underlying medical conditions that may affect the individual's immune response should be considered. Zostavax should be used with caution in patients with a history of neurological diseases.
Storage
Zostavax should be stored refrigerated between 2°C and 8°C. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children and protect from light. It is recommended to check the expiration date before use.

- FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
