Indications
Zoltum is indicated for the treatment of diseases related to excessive production of gastric acid. It is used for the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), where there is inflammation of the esophagus due to contact with stomach acid. It is also indicated for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori in combination with antibiotics, as well as for the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, and for the prevention of ulcers induced by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in patients at risk of developing gastrointestinal complications. In addition, Zoltum is used in the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a condition in which excessive amounts of gastric acid are produced.
Composition
Each Zoltum tablet contains 40 mg of pantoprazole as an active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation and stability of the medication.
Contraindications
It should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to pantoprazole or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to drugs of the same class.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with severe liver disease, as there may be an alteration in the metabolism of the drug. A prior medical evaluation is recommended in case of symptoms suggesting a malignant peptic ulcer, and the possibility of interactions with other medications the patient is using should be considered.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
