Indications

Zolnic is indicated for the treatment of hypercalcemia in cancer patients, as well as for the prevention of skeletal-related events in patients with bone metastases. It is also used in the treatment of osteoporosis in men and postmenopausal women, and in Paget's disease. Zoledronic acid acts by inhibiting osteoclast activity, which results in a decrease in bone resorption.

Composition

Each ampoule contains: Zoledronic Acid 4 mg in 5 ml of injectable solution.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to zoledronic acid or any of the excipients. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal impairment (glomerular filtration rate < 30 ml/min) and during pregnancy and lactation.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of allergic reactions to bisphosphonates. Regular monitoring of renal function is recommended, and treatment discontinuation should be considered in case of renal function deterioration. Additionally, patients' dental status should be evaluated before initiating treatment, as cases of osteonecrosis of the jaw have been reported.

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Do not refrigerate. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
