Indications
Zofilip 200 mg/20 mg is indicated for the reduction of elevated total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglyceride levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. This medication is indicated in combination with an appropriate diet for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and/or hypertriglyceridemia in patients who have not responded adequately to diet and exercise therapy. Additionally, it is used in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases in patients with risk factors such as diabetes, hypertension, or a family history of heart disease.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Fenofibrate 200 mg and Simvastatin 20 mg, as well as excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, magnesium stearate, and others.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, active liver disease or in patients with persistent elevation of transaminases, as well as in those with myopathy or rhabdomyolysis. It is also contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver, kidney, or muscle disease, as well as in those who are being treated with other medications that may increase the risk of adverse effects. Regular monitoring of liver function and creatine kinase levels is recommended during treatment.
