Indications
Zivata-Duo is indicated for the treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men. This medication combines two agents: dutasteride, which acts by inhibiting the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), and tamsulosin, which is a selective alpha-1 adrenergic receptor blocker. The synergy of these molecules helps to reduce prostate size and facilitate urinary flow, thereby improving the patient's quality of life.
Composition
Each capsule contains:
- Dutasteride: 0.5 mg
- Tamsulosin: 0.4 mg
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered to women, especially during pregnancy or lactation, as it may cause adverse effects in the fetus or newborn. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other 5-alpha reductase inhibitors.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver diseases, as the metabolism of the components may be affected. In addition, patients with a history of orthostatic hypotension should be monitored, as tamsulosin may cause a decrease in blood pressure.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
