Indications

Zintrepid is indicated for the treatment of primary hypercholesterolemia, both in patients with familial hypercholesterolemia and in those with non-familial hypercholesterolemia. It is used for the reduction of total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels in combination with an appropriate diet, in those patients who cannot control their cholesterol levels with diet alone. Furthermore, it can be used in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases in high-risk patients, as well as in the treatment of mixed dyslipidemias. The combination of Ezetimibe and Simvastatin allows for a synergistic action, improving the patient's response to treatment.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Ezetimibe 10 mg and Simvastatin 10 mg. Excipients: [specify excipients if information is available]

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, in those with active liver disease or unexplained elevations of transaminases, and in pregnant or breastfeeding women. It is also contraindicated in patients taking certain medications that may interact with Simvastatin.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, kidney failure, and in those who consume excessive alcohol. It is important to monitor liver enzymes and kidney function during treatment. It is recommended to evaluate the possibility of drug interactions with other medications the patient is using.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
