Indications

Zintrepid is indicated as an adjunct to diet for the reduction of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglyceride levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia (Type IIa) or mixed dyslipidemia (Type IIb). It is used in patients who cannot adequately control their lipid levels with diet and exercise. Additionally, it is indicated for the reduction of cardiovascular event risk in patients with established cardiovascular disease or type 2 diabetes with additional risk factors.

Composition

Each Zintrepid tablet contains 10 mg of Ezetimibe and 20 mg of Simvastatin as active ingredients. It also contains excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.

Contraindications

Zintrepid is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, in those with active liver disease or transaminase levels more than three times the upper limit of normal. It should not be administered during pregnancy or to breastfeeding women.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver disease, excessive alcohol consumption, and in those receiving other medications that may alter its metabolism. Additionally, liver function should be assessed before starting treatment and during its use.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
