Indications
Zinotram is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections, including:
- Respiratory infections, such as bronchitis and pneumonia.
- Ear infections (otitis media).
- Skin and soft tissue infections.
- Sexually transmitted infections, such as urethritis and cervicitis.
Azithromycin acts by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria, which stops their growth and reproduction. It is effective against a wide variety of pathogens, making it a treatment option in various clinical conditions.
Composition
Each Zinotram tablet contains:
- Azithromycin, 500 mg
- Excipients: Lactose, starch, magnesium stearate, and others.
Contraindications
Zinotram is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Azithromycin, other macrolide antibiotics, or any of the components of the formula. Likewise, caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney problems.
Precautions
It should be used with caution in patients with liver disease, as Azithromycin is mainly metabolized in this organ. It is important to observe for the appearance of signs of allergic reactions and, if they occur, treatment should be discontinued. In addition, it is recommended to evaluate renal function before starting treatment in patients with renal impairment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
