Indications
Zinotram (azithromycin) is indicated for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections. It is used for upper and lower respiratory tract infections, such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia. It is also indicated for skin and soft tissue infections, as well as sexually transmitted infections, such as non-gonococcal urethritis and cervicitis. Azithromycin works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, which results in bacterial death. It is important that this medication be used under appropriate medical supervision.
Composition
Each Zinotram tablet contains 500 mg of azithromycin as the active ingredient. In addition, it may contain excipients such as starch, microcrystalline cellulose, and magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
Zinotram is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to azithromycin, other macrolide antibiotics, or any of the formulation's components. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of severe liver or kidney disease.
Precautions
It is recommended to assess liver and kidney function before starting treatment. Additionally, caution should be exercised when using this medication in patients with cardiac arrhythmias or in those taking medications that may prolong the QT interval. Patients are advised to inform their doctor about any medications they are taking to avoid interactions.

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
