Indications
Zinolox is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to moxifloxacin. It is used in the treatment of:
- Acute and chronic respiratory infections, including community-acquired pneumonia and exacerbations of chronic bronchitis.
- Skin and soft tissue infections.
- Complicated intra-abdominal infections.
- Complicated urinary tract infections, including pyelonephritis.
- Bone and joint infections.
Moxifloxacin acts by inhibiting bacterial DNA synthesis, resulting in the death of susceptible bacteria.
Composition
Each tablet contains 400 mg of moxifloxacin as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to moxifloxacin or other fluoroquinolone antibiotics. Its use is not recommended in children under 18 years of age.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of central nervous system disorders, especially those with a history of seizures. Additionally, the risk of tendinopathy should be considered, especially in elderly patients or those taking corticosteroids.
It is important to monitor patients with renal insufficiency, as well as those who experience significant diarrhea during treatment, due to the risk of pseudomembranous colitis.

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature (between 15 and 30 °C). Keep out of reach of children.
