Indications
Zimeton is indicated for the treatment of disorders related to digestion and nutrient absorption. It is used in cases of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, chronic pancreatitis, and conditions requiring digestive enzyme supplementation, as well as in patients who have undergone surgical resection of the pancreas. Additionally, it is useful in managing symptoms such as abdominal distension, flatulence, and gastrointestinal discomfort that may arise due to poor digestion.
Composition
Each Zimeton tablet contains:
- Pancreatin: 130 mg
- Dimethicone: 50 mg
- Excipients: q.s.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the formula's components. Its use is not recommended in patients with acute pancreatitis or acute exacerbations of chronic pancreatitis.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of severe gastrointestinal diseases. It is important to evaluate renal and hepatic function in patients requiring prolonged treatment with this medication. Regular medical monitoring is also recommended during treatment.
Storage
Store Zimeton in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light and out of reach of children. The storage temperature should not exceed 30 °C.
