Indications
Zestril (Lisinopril) is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure. Its use contributes to the reduction of blood pressure, which can decrease the risk of cardiovascular diseases. In addition, it is used in the management of heart failure and for renal protection in patients with type 2 diabetes and proteinuria. This medication works by inhibiting the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), resulting in the relaxation of blood vessels and a decrease in vascular resistance.
Composition
Each Zestril tablet contains: Lisinopril 20 mg as active ingredient. Excipients: lactose, starch, microcrystalline, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to lisinopril or other ACE inhibitors. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of angioedema associated with ACE inhibitor treatment, during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, and in those with bilateral renal artery stenosis.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with renal insufficiency, aortic stenosis, collagen diseases, diabetes mellitus, and in those receiving diuretic treatment. It is important to monitor renal function and blood electrolytes, especially at the beginning of treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
