Indications
Zertalin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections. It is used in the treatment of upper and lower respiratory tract infections, such as pharyngitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia. It is also effective in the management of skin and soft tissue infections, as well as sexually transmitted infections such as urethritis and cervicitis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis. Azithromycin works by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria, which prevents their growth and reproduction.
Composition
Each Zertalin tablet contains 500 mg of Azithromycin as the active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for its formulation.
Contraindications
Zertalin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Azithromycin, other macrolides, or any of the components of the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe liver problems or in those taking medications that may cause adverse interactions with Azithromycin.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those with cardiac arrhythmias. Medical evaluation is recommended before starting treatment. The use of this medication in pregnant or breastfeeding women should also be considered only if the benefits outweigh the potential risks.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
