Indications
Zertalin is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to Azithromycin. These include, but are not limited to, upper and lower respiratory tract infections, such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, and pneumonia. It is also used in the treatment of skin and soft tissue infections, as well as in cases of urethritis and cervicitis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis. It is important to follow the doctor's instructions regarding the duration and dosage of treatment to ensure its effectiveness.
Composition
Each Zertalin tablet contains 500 mg of Azithromycin as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
Zertalin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Azithromycin, macrolides, or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use should also be avoided in patients with severe hepatic insufficiency and in those with a history of cardiac arrhythmias or QT interval prolongation.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver, kidney, or heart disease. The use of Zertalin in combination with other medications that may affect heart rhythm should be evaluated. Additionally, patients with conditions that predispose to arrhythmias should be monitored.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
