Indications
Zebesten is indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation in conditions such as arthritis and other rheumatic diseases. It is used to relieve postoperative pain and pain associated with musculoskeletal injuries. It may also be indicated in cases of ocular inflammation and ophthalmic diseases where an anti-inflammatory effect is required. Bromfenac works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, which are responsible for inflammation and pain.
Composition
Each ml of Zebesten Drops contains 0.9 mg of bromfenac. Excipients: purified water, glycerol, and other excipients that facilitate its administration and stability.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to bromfenac or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in patients with a history of active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, or in those with severe liver diseases. Its use during pregnancy and lactation should be carefully evaluated by a physician.
Precautions
Caution is advised in patients with a history of cardiovascular, renal, or gastrointestinal diseases. It is important to monitor patients who experience adverse reactions during treatment. Avoid concomitant use with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs to prevent adverse effects.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
