Indications

Zapex (Mirtazapine) is indicated for the treatment of major depression in adults. Mirtazapine acts on various neurotransmitters in the brain, helping to improve mood and alleviate symptoms associated with depression. Additionally, it may be useful in the treatment of anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and sleep disorders related to depression.

Composition

Each Zapex tablet contains 30 mg of mirtazapine as the active ingredient. Excipients include lactose monohydrate, corn starch, talc, and other inactive components that facilitate the formulation of the medicine.

Contraindications

Zapex is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to mirtazapine or to any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in patients with a history of serotonin syndrome.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Zapex to patients with a history of seizure disorders, liver or kidney disease, and those at risk of suicide. It is important to monitor patients during the first few weeks of treatment and after any change in dosage, due to the possible increase in suicidal thoughts in some patients.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
