Indications
Zanidip (Lercanidipine) is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. This medication acts as a calcium channel blocker, which helps lower blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels. Lercanidipine has been observed to be effective in patients with hypertension, improving quality of life and reducing the risk of cardiovascular complications. Additionally, it can be used in the management of stable angina pectoris, providing relief from chest pain episodes related to myocardial ischemia.
Composition
Each Zanidip tablet contains 10 mg of Lercanidipine as the active ingredient. Excipients include: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Lercanidipine or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered in cases of severe hepatic insufficiency or in patients with a history of unstable angina or recent myocardial infarction.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with moderate renal or hepatic insufficiency. Likewise, care should be taken in patients who are taking other antihypertensives or medications that may interact with Lercanidipine. It is important to monitor blood pressure and heart rate during treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
