Indications

Zanidip is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. Lowering blood pressure can reduce the risk of cardiovascular events, such as myocardial infarction and stroke. It is also used in the treatment of stable angina pectoris, relieving cardiac load and improving the quality of life of patients. Its use is recommended in patients who have not responded adequately to other antihypertensive treatments.

Composition

Each Zanidip tablet contains: Lercanidipine 10 mg, excipients q.s.p. 1 tablet.

Contraindications

Zanidip is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to lercanidipine or any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in patients with congestive heart failure, cardiogenic shock, or in those with severe aortic stenosis. Likewise, it is contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with hepatic or renal impairment, as they may experience an increased risk of adverse effects. Care should also be taken in patients with a history of heart disease, as well as in those receiving concomitant treatments that may affect blood pressure. It is important to monitor blood pressure regularly during treatment.

Storage

Store at room temperature, in a dry and cool place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
