Indications

Xuzal Drops is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, including nasal congestion, sneezing, nasal and ocular itching, as well as nasal discharge. Additionally, it is used in the management of chronic idiopathic urticaria, relieving itching and the appearance of hives on the skin. Levocetirizine acts by blocking the action of histamine, a substance the body releases during an allergic reaction, thereby reducing the symptoms associated with these conditions.

Composition

Each ml of Xuzal Drops contains 5 mg of levocetirizine (as levocetirizine dihydrochloride) and excipients: hydrochloric acid, potassium sorbate, purified water.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to levocetirizine, other antihistamines, or any of the formula's components. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal failure and in those with glucose-galactose malabsorption problems.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with moderate renal impairment, as well as in those with liver diseases. Alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment with levocetirizine, as it may increase the risk of sedative effects. Likewise, care should be taken when performing activities that require a state of mental alertness, such as driving vehicles or operating heavy machinery.

Storage

Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
