Indications
Xuzal 5 mg is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and children over 6 years of age. These symptoms include sneezing, rhinorrhea, nasal itching, itchy eyes, and nasal congestion. In addition, it is also used in the treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria, relieving itching and associated skin lesions. Levocetirizine acts as a selective antagonist of H1 histamine receptors, providing an effective and long-lasting antiallergic effect.
Composition
Each Xuzal tablet contains 5 mg of levocetirizine dihydrochloride as an active ingredient. In addition, it contains excipients such as lactose monohydrate, corn starch, and other components that allow for tablet formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to levocetirizine, other antihistamines, or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal failure or those undergoing dialysis.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of seizures, respiratory tract diseases, or those who consume alcohol, as it may potentiate its sedative effects. Likewise, care should be taken in elderly patients and those with moderate renal impairment, where dose adjustment is required.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
