Indications
Xumer is indicated for the treatment of acute pain, such as postoperative pain and musculoskeletal pain. It is also indicated for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, as well as for the management of pain in chronic inflammatory conditions. Etoricoxib, the active ingredient in Xumer, has been shown to provide pain relief and improve physical function in patients with these conditions. This medication works by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme, which reduces the production of prostaglandins, mediators responsible for inflammation and pain.
Composition
Each Xumer tablet contains 120 mg of etoricoxib. Excipients: lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to etoricoxib or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered to patients with a history of severe allergic reactions, such as angioedema or anaphylaxis, associated with other NSAIDs. It is also contraindicated in patients with uncontrolled cardiovascular disease, severe renal failure, and in the third trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, renal or hepatic insufficiency. Renal and hepatic function monitoring is recommended in patients receiving prolonged treatment. Its use in elderly patients should be supervised, considering the possibility of increased susceptibility to adverse effects.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
