Indications

Xgeva (denosumab) is indicated for the prevention of skeletal-related events in patients with metastatic breast, prostate, or lung cancer affecting the skeleton. It is also indicated for the treatment of malignancy-associated hypercalcemia and for the prevention of fractures in patients with bone metastases. Additionally, it is used in the treatment of bone loss in men with prostate cancer undergoing androgen deprivation therapy.

Composition

Each Xgeva ampule contains 120 mg of denosumab, as well as excipients that allow for the product's formulation. Consult the package leaflet for a complete list of inactive components.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to denosumab or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women without adequate medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of hypocalcemia, as Xgeva may exacerbate this condition. It is essential to monitor bone health and perform calcium tests before and during treatment. Furthermore, the possibility of infections should be considered, as the medication may affect the immune system.

Storage

Store in refrigeration between 2 °C and 8 °C. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
