Indications
Xeljanz is indicated for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis in adults, as well as juvenile idiopathic arthritis in patients 2 years of age or older. It is also used in the management of ulcerative colitis and psoriatic arthritis. This medicine works by inhibiting the activity of certain enzymes involved in the inflammatory process, which can help reduce symptoms associated with these conditions, such as pain and joint inflammation.
Composition
Each Xeljanz tablet contains 5 mg of tofacitinib as an active ingredient. In addition, it includes excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the medicine, ensuring its stability and efficacy.
Contraindications
This medicine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to tofacitinib or any component of the formula.
