Indications

Xatral Od 10 mg is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in adult men. Alfuzosin, its active ingredient, acts as a selective alpha-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist, which helps relax the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, thus facilitating urination. Its use may be considered for patients who experience symptoms such as difficulty initiating urination, weak urinary flow, frequent urge to urinate, among others. It is important that treatment be supervised by a doctor to ensure adequate evaluation and monitoring of symptoms and the patient's health.

Composition

Each Xatral Od 10 mg tablet contains 10 mg of alfuzosin, as well as the necessary excipients for the formulation of the medicine.

Contraindications

Xatral Od is not recommended for use in patients with known hypersensitivity to alfuzosin or to any of the components of the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of orthostatic hypotension or in those receiving treatment with other alpha-adrenergic antagonists.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, as this medication may cause hypotension. Renal function should be evaluated before starting treatment. In case of cataract surgery, the surgeon should be informed that the patient is being treated with alfuzosin, as there may be a risk of intraoperative complications.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
