Indications

Xarelto (Rivaroxaban) is indicated for the prevention of venous thromboembolic events in patients undergoing major orthopedic surgery of the lower extremities. It is also used in the treatment and prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). Additionally, it is indicated for the prevention of strokes and thromboembolic events in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation. Rivaroxaban is administered according to specific medical indications for each condition and patient profile.

Composition

Each Xarelto tablet contains Rivaroxaban as the active ingredient, in a dose of 15 mg, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.

Contraindications

The use of Xarelto is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Rivaroxaban or any other component of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with active pathological bleeding, severe liver diseases, and in those who are receiving other oral anticoagulants not under medical supervision. Its use in pregnant and breastfeeding women should be carefully evaluated by a physician.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Xarelto to patients with a history of bleeding, compromised renal function, or conditions that may increase the risk of bleeding. Continuous medical monitoring is important to assess treatment response and adjust the dose if necessary.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
