Indications
Wernicros (Oseltamivir) is indicated for the treatment of influenza in adults and children over one year of age who present with symptoms of the disease. This medication is most effective when administered within the first 48 hours after the onset of symptoms. Additionally, it can be used for influenza prophylaxis in individuals who have been exposed to the virus. Its use is recommended in patients at high risk of complications, such as those with chronic respiratory diseases or immunodeficiencies.
Composition
Each Wernicros capsule contains 75 mg of Oseltamivir phosphate as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.
Contraindications
Wernicros is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Oseltamivir or any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with severe renal impairment without appropriate medical supervision.
Precautions
Special care should be taken when administering Wernicros to patients with a history of psychiatric illnesses, as behavioral changes have been reported in some cases. Additionally, renal function should be monitored in patients with renal impairment. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medication.
Storage
Wernicros should be stored in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
