Indications

Weicop is indicated for the treatment of narcolepsy, a sleep disorder characterized by excessive daytime sleepiness. It is also used in the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in adults, as well as to improve vigilance and cognitive performance in sleep-deprived conditions. Modafinil acts as a wakefulness-promoting agent, fostering concentration and alertness, which can be beneficial in situations where a high level of attention is required.

Composition

Each Weicop tablet contains 200 mg of modafinil as the active ingredient. Excipients: starch, lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate.

Contraindications

Weicop is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to modafinil or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in cases of a history of severe cardiovascular disorders, as well as in patients with a history of substance abuse or dependence.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of psychiatric disorders, as modafinil may exacerbate symptoms in these cases. It is also recommended to monitor patients with a history of heart problems, as they may be at risk of cardiovascular adverse effects. It should not be used in combination with other stimulants or drugs that affect the central nervous system without proper medical supervision.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
