Indications

Wegovy is indicated for the treatment of obesity in adults, as well as for reducing the risk of developing cardiovascular disease in overweight or obese patients. This medication acts as a GLP-1 analog, which helps regulate appetite and food intake, promoting weight loss. Wegovy should be used in conjunction with a balanced diet and an appropriate exercise program to maximize its effects on body weight reduction.

Composition

Each pre-filled Wegovy pen contains 2.4 mg of Semaglutide and 3.2 mg of suitable excipients for the formulation.

Contraindications

Wegovy is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Semaglutide or to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or in those with Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type 2 syndrome. It should not be administered to patients with type 1 diabetes.

Precautions

It is important to monitor renal function and the presence of pancreatitis, as these can be adverse effects associated with the use of Semaglutide. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, as well as in those who are taking other medications that may affect blood glucose control.

Storage

Wegovy should be stored in refrigeration between 2°C and 8°C. Do not freeze. Once opened, it can be kept at room temperature (not exceeding 30°C) for a maximum of 28 days. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
