Indications
Wegovy (Semaglutide) is indicated as an adjunct to a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity for the treatment of obesity in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older. This medication is used in patients with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 kg/m² or greater, or in those with a BMI of 27 kg/m² or greater who have at least one weight-related comorbidity, such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes, or dyslipidemia. Wegovy works by regulating appetite and food intake, which facilitates weight loss and helps maintain the achieved weight.
Composition
Each dose of Wegovy contains 1 mg of Semaglutide, in addition to excipients that facilitate its formulation and administration.
Contraindications
Wegovy is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Semaglutide or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of acute pancreatitis and in those with a family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type 2 syndrome.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Wegovy to patients with a history of pancreatic disease, kidney disease, or liver disease. It is important to monitor renal function in patients experiencing dehydration due to adverse gastrointestinal effects. It is recommended to assess the risk of hypoglycemia in patients receiving concomitant treatment with insulin or medications that increase insulin secretion.
Storage
The medication should be stored refrigerated between 2°C and 8°C. Do not freeze. Once opened, the Flex Touch device can be stored at room temperature (up to 30°C) for a maximum of 28 days.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
